Instead of entering the battle personally, Zoe unleashes a formidable and particularly frightening Pal, Grizzbolt, to engage in the fight.
Despite being labelled as a tutorial mission, entering it unprepared guarantees defeat. The boss, while not particularly swift, inflicts substantial damage. Without adequate preparation, the fight is short-lived and ends unfavourably for you.

How to beat Zoe and Grizzbolt boss
Let's begin by identifying the location of this boss encounter. Depart from the first Plateau of Beginners fast-travel point and head northwest towards the second Grassy Behemoth Hills fast-travel point. Continue along this path until you reach a new fast-travel point named the Rayne Syndicate Tower Entrance. Adjacent to this point is a distinctive tower with a futuristic design, setting it apart from the others. This is the site of the boss fight.
Prior to entering the arena, make sure to equip yourself with arrows or another ranged weapon, as melee weapons are ineffective in this situation. Additionally, assemble the strongest possible party of Pals, ensuring they are at a high level—preferably at least level 15.
At the onset of the fight, release your Pal and maintain a safe distance. Grizzbolt will predominantly target you, providing an opportunity for your Pal to retaliate with shots. When Grizzbolt shifts focus to your Pal, seize the moment to launch arrows from a distance. In the event that Grizzbolt begins firing from afar, take cover behind one of the pillars in the arena for safety.
The battle is constrained to a ten-minute timeframe, providing ample time to overcome the boss unscathed. If one of your Pals becomes fatigued, merely drag it out and bring in a fresh one. Before you know it, Grizzbolt will be defeated, earning you five Ancient Technology Points and the achievement "Defeated Zoe and Grizzbolt," among other rewards.
