In the majority of RPGs, you can improve the stats of your character by investing skill points into new skills, but Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the latest RPG from Warhorse Studios, has a slightly different approach. Instead of unlocking skills, in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll unlock different perks, and while the concept is pretty much the same, this system has some differences.
The perks are unlocked in a certain category if you keep making actions related to that category. For instance, if you sneak around for too long, your thievery level will rise, and you'll be able to spend a certain number of points to unlock some perks in the thievery category. Same goes for fighting, riding horses, smithing, doing alchemy, and all other actions.
Every time you level up in one category, you'll get the opportunity to spend one perk point, and you'll have to choose between many available perks. However, once you unlock one perk, all others will be locked until you unlock the next level. How to reset perks (respec) in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the problems are usually solved with certain potions, and resetting the perks isn't an exception. To reset the unlocked perks and make different choices, you'll have to either brew or buy the Lethean Water potion.
Find the apotecary on the map and look for this potion in their inventory. A better option, even if it's a bit more expensive, is to buy the recipe. This way, you'll have the opportunity to brew the potion whenever you like. The apotecary in Kuttenberg is willing to sell you this potion or recipe if you're willing to spend coin. He is located in the western part of the city. Check out our map below for reference.
However, if you don't want to spend 250 groschen on the recipe or 150 on the potion itself, here is the recipe for you. If you make the potion following our instructions, you'll make three vials and learn the recipe during the process.
To make the Lethean Water potion, you'll need two handfuls of Wormwood, one Belladona, and one Henbane. Approach the bench and pour spirits into the cauldron. Grind two handfuls of Wormwood and add it to the cauldron. Now, add Belladona and boil for three turns of the hourglass. Finally, add Henbane and distil. If you followed the recipe to the letter, you'll make three vials of Lethean Water and learn the recipe as well.
Now, all you have to do is go into the inventory, locate the Lethean Water potion, and drink it. Once you do it, all perks will be reset, and you'll be able to relocate them as you please. If the new perks don't fit your preferences, simply drink the potion again and repeat the process.
