Arcanists may look like the perfect artillery units in King Arthur: Knight's Tale but it's really a select few Champions who can do this job better than anyone.
King Arthur: Knight's Tale will sometimes pit players against overwhelming odds and in order to even the battlefield, you will need one of your party members to put their carry pants on and just wreck everything. In my playthroughs, this role was occupied by a few Champions who managed to wipe entire enemy armies in a single turn.
This made me brand these distinct individuals as the "unstoppable killing machines" and if you want to have one such problem solver in your own party, here is a quick guide on how to do it.
Most characters in the game have different skill sets even if they are of the same class. As such, not all Champions can do this build. The ones that can are Balan, Lanval, Brunor and Kay.
The optimal candidate choice comes between Balan, Lanval and Brunor le Noir, depending on your morality and religion. My personal favourite is Balan since his loyalty is pretty easy to buff up early on as you can get plus five with the Defender of the Bridge title.
Sir Kay is just as potent as the other three knights when it comes to offensive capabilities but he is not as sturdy. On top of that, if his Vitality gets damaged, he will force you to bench him if you don't want to lose loyalty.

Abilities marked with a star take priority over other abilities. The same goes with marked upgrades.
While the skill build itself is important, there are a few pieces of gear that are essential as well. The first among them is the Relic Teleport Ring which provides a Loyalty bonus along with the Teleport ability. Keep an eye out at both the merchant and Enchanted Tower during the first act to grab this thing.
Teleport can be used only once per encounter but it also costs just one AP. As such, you will be able to position your Champion in the optimal spot to start reaping, at a minimal cost.
Summerborn Hoof is the second essential piece of Relic gear for the build. It returns two AP and three HP on kill. This one is also available during the first act so make sure you don't miss it.
Additionally, armour sigils or weapon runes that provide Movement (yellow) AP on kill is fantastic for this build since it will save your regular AP for actual attacks.
Give the Champion the Essence of Annihilation potion that you get from the Challenge rewards.
Since the Champion is your primary damage dealer in this scenario, it's best to bring along a Sage for Bless and Inspire buffs, along with crowd control abilities.
Besides that perfect synergy, it's always good to have Mordred since he can offer more crowd control and taunt sturdy enemies, with the right gear, leaving them exposed to the Champion's backstab. At later levels, he can also soften enemies for the initial kills by the Champion.
Arcanists are great for CC and ranged damage, the latter of which is sorely needed if you want to give your Champion an easy target or two so he can ramp up his Rage damage buff.
Using the build
Champions with this build excel at cleaning up large groups of enemies. The more they kill, the more damage they do, so target squishes first to ramp up your Rage.
Whenever you have the opportunity to teleport into a group of enemies and get yourself surrounded, do it. With enemies at hand, you don't have to waste AP on movement.
If your Champion can't initially kill some enemies, use your teammates to deal some damage to them or provide Vulnerability.
A single Cleave can return nine AP, at the meager cost of four, should you manage to kill three enemies at once.
When you get and upgrade Whirlwind, it is basically a more potent version of Cleave.
Try killing single targets with regular attacks since it will reduce all your cooldowns.
Use Power Attack to kill one-shot enemies that Strike can't finish off.
