Relic Dust is a highly important resource in King Arthur: Knight's Tale that may be hard to come by early. Here is a quick rundown on how to ensure you have enough.
Purchasing items from the Enchanted Tower in King Arthur: Knight's Tale will give your party major advantage on the battlefield but you can't just toss a coin purse at the mages to obtain them. Instead, you need Relic Dust, of which you will be in short supply if you don't follow some of the basic requirements.
Upgrade the Merchant
One of the first things you can do to get access to more Relic Dust is to upgrade your Merchant with the Craftsmen option. This will provide Relic-quality items in the store, which you can buy with regular gold.
Once you purchase an item, you can either use it if it's got stats that are good for your build or, more frequently, sacrifice it at the Enchanted Tower. Destroying two or three items this way will be enough to purchase one from the Tower's rotating selection.
Additionally, you can also upgrade the Merchant to refresh the inventory more frequently, which will give you even more potential Relic Dust, provided you have enough gold to buy them all.
Upgrade the Enchanted Tower
There are two upgrades to the Enchanted Tower that will increase your Relic Dust gains. The first one is the Ancient Method, which is a regular building upgrade you can get.
However, the second one is a little bit obscure and it comes in the form of an event on the Adventure Map. You know, the one you see when you zoom out of Camelot.
Anyway, an unsettling stranger will ask you to join your crew and you have the opportunity to either accept or refuse the offer. Should you accept it, there will be negative effects on the loyalty of your party members and there is no clear indication about what the stranger will do at the tower. The actual bonus is 10 per cent more Relic Dust from sacrificing items which stacks with the Ancient Method.
Utilise Sir Ector
You will get this grumpy Arcanist very early in the game. As soon as you get him on the roster, make sure to employ him as the Master of Magic at the tower. This will result in bonus Relic Dust at the end of every mission and the higher level Ector is, the more dust you'll get.
As such, I would highly recommend bringing him on missions to make sure you get as much dust as possible but if his Loyalty becomes too low, just keep levelling him through the practice in Camelot while you bring other heroes on adventures.
