Not many single-player games have a prolonged lifespan due to being a service but it somehow works for Neocore Games.
Technically, their creations like W40K: Inquisitor - Martyr and King Arthur: Knight's Tale can be played in multiplayer but many fans still enjoy them as solo experiences and they are completely playable offline.
In any case, the support for these titles remains active for a long time and now it's time to see what King Arthur has in store for us in the near future.
First and foremost, the game is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and while the port is in active development, there is currently no release date or window for the console version.
As for the updates to the game, there will be patches, seasons and skirmish packs.
Patches are your run-of-the-mill balancing changes, quality-of-life improvements and various fixes. Patch 2.0 is coming in December 2023 and is said to completely overhaul the game so if you were looking to replay it, that might be the time.
Just like patches, seasons will be free even though they are content updates. They will be thematic in nature and the next one is coming alongside the aforementioned patch on December 2, 2023. The best part is that you can choose which season to play in the menu, completely eliminating any traces of FOMO.
Skirmish packs are the only DLCs that may end up being paid but they are not crucial to the core experience. They will provide "a few extra hours of fun for those who just can't get enough" but other than being a way to support your favourite game, they don't actually nudge you to buy them.
