Jagged Alliance 3 will occasionally throw bags of cash at the players and the humble description seems to point at them being useless.
However, Haemimont Games did provide a few uses for it across the various locations that may be few and far between.
In other words, it's a good idea to lug one stack of cash around (10 bags) but in some cases, it might actually not even be necessary.
One of the uses is to purchase a mask from the poacher camp in the northwestern Savanna sectors and while the use may not be apparent immediately, you will get your answers in Port Cacao.
Speaking of which, this is where your bags of Grand Chien money will be most useful. There is an NPC called Itsadi the Fisher and you can buy any item in his shop in exchange for a bag of cash, including a quest item that is used in Port Cacao Docks, the neighbouring area.
Itsadi also has useful items like skill magazines to beef up your mercs, meaning you will need more than just one bag. Keep in mind his inventory will refresh just like any other vendor's so this is a great place to spend the money on repeat.
If you stumble upon Itsadi without any cash in your inventory, you can blow up a wall in the neighbouring office to break into Frederic's bank. This will not be seen as a crime. In fact, you will gain loyalty with Port Cacao if you rob Frederic and even Itsadi suggests doing so. You can loot 10 bags of cash here for future use.
