Have you been wondering what those luxury chairs are all about? Or perhaps you got the mission and are trying to track down the correct one? We have all the answers for you in this guide.

One of the treasure hunts Jagged Alliance 3 will send the players on revolves around finding a diamond necklace in a luxury chair.

That said, Haemimont obscured the actual mission's starting point and those who are not willing to take a risk or two will likely miss it entirely.

In any case, we have all the answers for you, just scroll down to the part you need help with.

Starting the Necklace in the Chairs mission

In order to get the mission in the first place, you will need to talk to Lalee Leewaylender in Fleatown (H9) and ask him for information. He will agree to provide it in exchange for one Tiny Diamond per piece of info.

To start the necklace mission, ask him how to get rich and he will offer you a deal - you track down the necklace and come back to him and he will fence it for you while splitting the profits.

Diamond Necklace location

There is no fixed location for the Diamond Necklace. You will need to track it down but thankfully, all the locations are on the left side of the map so you won't have to venture too far eastward.

The necklace will be in one of the 12 luxury chairs that you can find in:

  1. Flag Hill (I1)
  2. Fleatown (H9)
  3. Rimville (I9)
  4. Diamond Red (A2)
  5. Camp Grand Prix (D10)
  6. Pantagruel (D8)
  7. Camp Savane (F7)
  8. Camp La Barriere (G10)
  9. Fosse Noire Mine (C7U)
  10. Jungle River Bank (G11)
  11. Sanatorium (H12)
  12. Drachenberg Mine (B12)

While the aforementioned bad news about no fixed location might dissuade some players, they may find it encouraging to know that you don't actually need to check of the 12 chairs - you only need to stumble upon the correct one. It could be the first one you examine, the seventh or if RNG doesn't favour you, the 12th.

To get to the Fosse Noire chair, you will need to either wage war on the Maquis or succeed Chimurenga so he gives you the mine, at which point you can explore it without risk and also increase the profits if you examine the silver veins along the way.

Selling the necklace

When you loot the necklace you have two options - cash it in yourself for $9,000 or go back to Lalee and see his offer. He will initially only offer you $3,000 but if you have a merc with the Negotiator trait, you can haggle and get $15,000 for it.

Therefore, if you don't have the necessary trait, it's best to just sell it yourself if you are looking only for the money. Turning it in to Lalee also gives experience and Fleatown reputation.
