Attributes list of a 99 overall Scoring Machine in NBA 2K20.
Scoring Machine is easily one of the best builds in NBA 2K20.

NBA 2K20 features an MP Builder mode which allows players to experiment with their MyPLAYER creations. Our pick for this year is Scoring Machine at the shooting guard position. Here's how to create the ultimate version of this build.

UPDATE: We have made a new guide on how to make a Scoring Machine build in NBA 2K21. Check it out here .

MyCAREER is without a doubt one of the most popular modes of NBA 2K. There's a number of different ways to enjoy playing through your career in NBA 2K20, and hitting the Neighborhood is surely one of the best ways of ranking up your player.

Because NBA 2K20 allows you to create loads of different builds, it can be quite difficult to settle on one perfect pick - well, perfect for your playing style and position anyway. Being avid fans of the game ourselves, we've been grinding out various different players and testing them out in the Park ever since the game dropped, and we have finally found our dream build: Scoring Machine at SG.

As its very name suggests, this build is an absolute beast on offense especially if you get it to a high OVR. It can equip contact dunks to put even the best of defenders on a poster, hit a deep three like nobody's business, and speedboost with the ball without breaking a sweat. While Scoring Machine's defense isn't exactly anything to write home about, its 5 defensive badges are still enough to not make you a liability on the other side of the ball.

So, how does one create this ferocious beast? Well, let's take you through a step by step guide that will give you the ultimate guard build in NBA 2K20.

The first thing you want to do, after putting in your basic info and selecting the Shooting Guard position, is choose the Finishing/Shooting pie chart. It's the second one on the list of Skill Breakdown.

Then select the Agility pie chart which is the first choice on the Physical Profile list. Keep in mind that, being a guard, speed is of essential importance - so choosing this specific pie chart is a must.

Next, you will have to distribute your attribute points across four major categories. To create a Scoring Machine build with 55 badges, make sure to spread the attribute numbers as follows:

  • Close Shot - 90
  • Driving Layup - 85
  • Driving Dunk - 83
  • Standing Dunk - 58
  • Post Hook - 55

  • Mid-Range Shot - 79
  • Three-Point Shot - 80
  • Free Throw - 88
  • Post Fade - 90

  • Pass Accuracy - 78
  • Ball Handle - 79
  • Post Moves - /

  • Interior Defense - 44
  • Perimeter Defense - 75
  • Lateral Quickness - 70
  • Steal - 75
  • Block - 70
  • Offensive Rebound - /
  • Defensive Rebound - /

Once that is done, you will have to choose a body type. Since this is purely visual and has no effect on your in-game performance whatsoever, you can choose any body shape that you prefer - we went with defined because we liked the way it made our player look.

Then you'll have to adjust your height, weight and wingspan. For height, choose 6'5", 195lbs for weight, and set your wingspan to 77". And finally, choose the Slasher takeover and you're done. You will now see the three players that your build is similar to.

If you've done everything right, you should see that your Scoring Machine is similar to Brandon Roy, James Harden and Bradley Beal - and that right there is one hell of a trio, if you ask us.

The only thing left for us to show you is the way our badges are set up. This bit is just as important as everything else that we've gone over so far, so make sure to distribute your badges exactly like this:
