Call of Duty: Warzone offers a wide variety of weapons that you can find all over the map but custom-made loadouts are still your best bet. Here are some of the best ones for long and close-range engagements.
Whether your preferred playstyle includes snipers and stealthy approach or Assault Rifles and aggressive moves, this guide should help you find the perfect weapon that will, with a bit of skill, take you all the way to the "Warzone Victory" screen.
BEST FULLY AUTOMATIC WEAPON
AUG A3 has the fastest fully automatic time to kill in Warzone, of all the fully auto weapons, making it the best overall choice in this category. However, AUG A3 really shines once you equip it with 5.56 mm ammunition as Drift0r explains . On top of this, it has low recoil so it is easy to control and shoot. The only downside is the range, AUG A3 is not the best weapon if you want to engage in medium to long-range gunfights but up close, it will absolutely melt the enemies.
BEST DMR / LONG RANGE WEAPON
FN FAL is absolutely deadly. Just like AUG A3, it has super-fast time to kill with a fantastic range and accuracy. It may be in Assault Rifles category but it is a semi-automatic weapon and with a proper long-range scope, you can turn into a lovely marksman rifle. Its headshot damage is brutal and incredibly rewarding so don't think twice which body part to aim for. As for the cons, well, it can be a bit hard to control but once you get used to it, FAL will be one of your favourite weapons in the game.
BEST SHOTGUN
R9-0 shotgun is the best choice in Warzone for those who love these deadly, close-combat toys. It is also a solid option in standard Call of Duty multiplayer but in Warzone, where everyone usually has three armour plates on top of the standard hit points, the R9-0 is absurdly good. The gun utilises a 14 shell double tube magazine, which means it has a devastating one-two punch and can fire seven times before you have to hit the reload button.
Of course, there's a lot of great weapons in Warzone such us M4A1, MP5 or PKP LMG and you will be fine if these are your preferred options. Eventually, it comes down to gun feel and personal preference - if the gun you are using does the job then switching to something else and learning its recoil pattern can be a frustrating experience. However, once you get to know the weapons from the list, using them in your Warzone matches will become a no-brainer.
