Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on PC now allows players to uninstall the game modes they don't play to free up storage space. Here's how to remove these modes in Battle.net.
Today, a brand new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch officially introduced a long-awaited feature to PC players. From now on, you will be able to uninstall Call of Duty: Modern Warfare game modes that you don't play, just like console players.
The patch introduces playlist update, bug fixes and weapon balancing but it is safe to say that for PC players, the biggest highlight of the update is the option to remove campaign and other modes they are not enjoying as much as multiplayer.
So, without further ado, here's how you can remove these modes:
- Select Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in Battle.net launcher
- Click on the Options menu just below the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare logo
- Click on Modify Install and installation popup will appear
- Under Game Content select Modify Install
- Simply uncheck the content you want to remove
- Click Confirm
- Click Start Install
With the removal of the campaign and Special Ops, you will hopefully free up a hefty chunk of your storage space. As you may notice during the uninstall process, Call of Duty: Warzone cannot be uninstalled since it's a standalone title.
So there you have it, folks, if some of these three modes (multiplayer, campaign, Special Ops) are not your favourites, feel free to uninstall them and enjoy the modes you actually love but with some extra storage space.
