Replaced is coming to Android. Sad Cat Studios and Atari confirmed today that their cyberpunk action platformer will launch on Android via the Google Play Games programme on 8 December 2026, ported by Polish studio The Knights of U. The Google Play Games platform allows players to buy the game once and access it across Android phones, tablets, and PC, with progress syncing between devices.
The announcement also comes with the first sales milestone the team has shared publicly: Replaced has now been played by over 900,000 players across all platforms since its spring 2026 launch on PC and Xbox Series X|S. The game scored an 80 on AltChar at launch (you can read the review on the link above), praised for its stunning pixel art visuals and its atmospheric take on an alternate 1980s America reshaped by nuclear catastrophe, though it was held back by bugs and rough edges that have since been addressed through post-launch patches.
The Android version brings the full game to a new audience, including the complete story following R.E.A.C.H., an AI trapped in a human body against its will, as it navigates the corrupt streets of Phoenix City and begins to uncover the sinister agenda of the Phoenix Corporation. Sad Cat Studios describe it as a 2.5D platformer blending cinematic exploration with fluid free-flow action combat, and the mobile version is designed to deliver the same visual experience that made the game stand out on console and PC. With the Android launch just under two months away and the player count closing in on a million, REPLACED’s post-launch trajectory looks considerably healthier than its turbulent development history suggested it might be.
