Many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone players have reported "install suspended/missing data pack" error after the latest, Season 6, update, which prevents them from enjoying the game. Here's how to fix the issue.
Call of Duty players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have found out that Season 6 update introduced a pretty frustrating error, which prevents them from enjoying the new seasonal content. If you are one of those who got "install suspended/missing data pack" error message when trying to play multiplayer, fear not, a solution is pretty simple and the best thing about it is that it works on both consoles.
This issue is caused by missing data pack 2, which cannot be downloaded through the store or add-on page. All you need to do is follow these simple steps below and your Call of Duty should work like intended. Thanks to a Redditor k20stitch_tv for figuring this one out.
- Log into the game
- Go to Options then General
- Look for "Game Installs" and click on it
- If you get "store unavailable" message, just keep clicking "game installs" until you're in
- Once you get the list, click on data pack 2, which will take you to the store page
- Download the file
- Play the game
If this does not work, try rebuilding the game's database or restore licences. We recommend doing all of these just in case since some players report that rebuilding database fixed their issue while others had more luck with the fix above.
