This frustrating problem for PC gamers occurs for an unknown reason and it straight up refuses to start a download of the update even if you restart the client and your PC. Changing the game's region, scanning and repairing the files, sadly, does not help but here's a method that could help you solve the issue.

Thanks to a YouTube channel called AFK News , we were able to start the Season 5 download at full speed, without any additional issues. Here's what you need to do:

1. Pause download

2. Go to Settings

3. Scroll down and set your download speed to 100 KB/s

If the update starts at the set speed, wait a few seconds and then go to Settings again and set your download speed to 0 (unlimited). If it happens that the update fails to start, simply pause again and resume the update. This should fix the issue.
