Epic Games rolled out what should only be the first batch of content from Fortnite: Battle Royale's 7.10 content drop, and to be fair it shows, seeing as how the only novelty it adds is a new type of holiday-flavoured deployable - presents.
The way they work is just like any other throwable item - you chuck it and it spawns a huge holiday present. Unless you throw it at your feet, in which case you'll just make a present shaped room around you, which can be quite convenient if you're planning on taking your time while looting inside of your gift.
Fortnite's presents contain "one of several powerful sets of weapons/items" and a legendary rarity item, the latter dropping in "stacks of one (max of 5 stacks)." Presents are freely found across the map as floor loot, chests or inside of supply drops.
Disco Domination limited time mode is also back for another round and if you haven't caught it the first time, it's Epic's way of bringing back the 70s, as we weren't in a hurry to forget about them in the first place.
Fortnite's groovy mode has two teams of 50 trying to hold the four dance floors that appear when storm circles aren't moving. Dancing on the floors raises the disco ball, capturing it for your team and filling up the dance bar, which is the ultimate goal of Disco Domination.
The floors cannot be built upon but your Fortnite dancers in crime can give you a hand in building around it, so that you can dance the night away or whatever in relative safety. As you'd expect, the more players dance on a floor, the faster it fills the meter and storm shrinks times are down to 30s, so as to make matches more dynamic.
Judging by the wording of Epic's 7.10 patch notes, this is only the first batch of the content planned for the 7.10 drop, so we guess we'll be seeing more soon. Until then, you might as well try your luck by opening some presents.
