Early adopters of new Microsoft games are getting a taste of everything Xbox Game Pass has to offer as the company is offering a free preview.

Microsoft is making another push into the Game Pass ecosystem and this time around they are focusing on PC. Anyone who played Halo Infinite , Forza Horizon or Age of Empires on the platform before the end of February 2022, counting in UTC time zone, is getting a free trial of PC Game Pass, provided they were logged in into their Microsoft Account at the time.

The free trial will last for three months from the moment it's activated, giving you plenty of time to try out numerous games from the subscription's roster. It can be activated from March 14 to April 12, 2022, at 12:59 UTC.

Here come the caveats though. You can only activate the trial in the countries that are eligible for the Game Pass in the first place and you will still need to link your credit card. It will also start charging you money each new month after the trial expires unless you cancel the subscription first.

The following countries are exempt from the free trial even if they are on the list to be eligible:

  • Russia
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam
  • Philippines
  • Indonesia
  • Malaysia

Overall, this will be a great deal for anyone who wishes to dip their toes and is living in a country where Microsoft made the service available. Just don't forget to cancel the sub if you don't want to continue afterwards.
