NetEase Games and Everstone Studio have released a new gameplay trailer for Where Winds Meet, their open-world Wuxia RPG launching November 14 on PC and PlayStation 5.

The trailer does a lot of heavy lifting, showcasing the game's diverse biomes and visual style that's giving off strong Ghost of Tsushima / Assassin's Creed vibes. You've got sweeping landscapes ranging from grand imperial capitals to lush forests and more. It's visually striking stuff, leaning hard into that Eastern fantasy aesthetic. But don't let me tell you about it, see it yourself in the trailer above.

But it's the weird, charming details that really stand out. At one point, the trailer shows Shiba Inu puppets casually playing mahjong, because apparently that's just a thing you'll encounter in this world. There's also a moment where the player shrinks down to cat-size to pet an actual cat, which is both adorable and suggests some creative uses for the game's mystical abilities beyond just combat.

Speaking of combat, the trailer showcases the martial arts system with fluid Kung Fu-inspired moves and fantastical techniques. There's platforming across rooftops, what looks like puzzle-solving elements, and glimpses of a massive, bustling city filled with NPCs going about their lives.

Everstone Studio is promising over 20 distinct regions to explore, more than 10,000 unique NPCs with their own personalities, and over 40 different Martial Mystic Arts to master. These abilities aren't just for fighting - they're apparently key to exploration and puzzle-solving too, which could add some nice variety to the gameplay loop.

The game launches globally on November 14 for Steam, Epic Games Store and PlayStation Store. If you're into open-world action RPGs with a Wuxia twist and a sense of humour about itself, this one's worth keeping on your radar.
