Where Winds Meet has released its March 2026 roadmap, detailing all content coming with Version 1.4, subtitled Home Afar. The update launches globally on March 6 (UTC) and marks the start of the Hexi expansion, which brings three new maps, nearly twenty regions, and eleven bosses to global players across March, April, and May.
A preview livestream is also scheduled for February 27 ahead of launch.
New Features and Stories
Version 1.4 introduces Jade Gate Pass as the first new explorable area of the Hexi expansion, alongside a brand new World Boss called Wandering Ark. Two further additions round out the feature slate at launch: the campaign Whitecrown Fortress Guo Xin, and the Bamboocut Dust path, which introduces an umbrella and rope dart Martial Arts combination - the Everspring Umbrella and Unfettered Rope Dart. Jade Gate Pass is the first of three maps coming with the Hexi expansion, with Liangzhou and Qinchuan to follow in April and May respectively.
New stories also arrive with the update. The main story advances with Main Story I: Burlap Sack, while the Jianghu Legacy series adds three new entries - Desert Without Sails, In the Quiet of Night, and A Wellspring of Hope.
New Events and Rewards
Four events are scheduled across the Version 1.4 window between March 6 and March 27: Chorus of Life, Desert Clash, Heroic Gauntlet, and Sand Race. Running from March through May, the Hexi reward track lets players earn 30+ Lingering Melody pulls and 90+ Resonating Melody pulls by progressing through Hexi Exploration content, including pulls obtained using Echo Jade.
New Cosmetics
Three paid outfits are coming in March, alongside a free outfit earned through Hexi exploration. The Battle Pass outfit Tiger's Bane runs March 6 - April 1, Iron Cavalry is available March 6 - April 2, and Snowy River runs March 12 - June 10.
