Warhammer 40,000 fans probably can't contain themselves right now as Owlcat Games not only revealed the first glimpses of actual gameplay from Rogue Trader but they also offered detailed information for the contents of the Collector's Edition box.
First, let's get it on with the trailer and see what we can expect from it. If Pathfinder games were anything to go on, we can expect a ton of content and the glimpse of the UI showing the travel across the Koronus Expanse suggests this is the case, with a bunch of nodes that can presumably be discovered, much like the map nodes in the aforementioned RPGs.
Some of the enemies seen in the trailer include the Dark Eldar, creatures from the Warp, heretics and other Xenos. Chaos forces were previously confirmed through the Word Bearers legion so that can be added to the pile as well.
As for the Collector's Edition box, it includes:
- Cassia Statue - 20 centimetres tall, depicting the Navigator we interact with in the game
- Art book - Allowing the players a glimpse behind the artistic thought in the creation of Rogue Trader
- Warrant of Trade - Describes the duties of a Rogue Trader and provides the permission to be one
- Sticker Pack
- Rogue Trader cloth banner - Close replica of the coat of arms of House von Valancius
Overall, it's a good day to be a W40K fan, with at least one of the parts of the trailer is bound to cause uncontrollable hype.
