The Expanse: Osiris Reborn got some new details today after the game appeared on Xbox Partner Preview recently. Owlcat Games has revealed the release window for The Expanse: Osiris Reborn along with details about an upcoming closed beta for the game.
The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will be releasing this Spring 2027 while its closed beta will kick off April 22nd for those who want to get a jump start.Access to the beta will be available to players that purchase the Miller’s Pack.
There will be limited spaces available for players to purchase and join the beta. During the beta players will get an early glimpse at the games choice/story systems and combat.
Gameplay Focus: Combat and Strategy
Players will have access to:
- Handheld weapons: pistols, SMGs, sniper rifles
- Devices: Zero gravity grenades
- Drone deployables
Regarding the story, players return to Pinkwater 4 station on one of the missions available. Here you'll reunite with known characters from the game's story and pick up some new companions such as a friendly mechanic named Zafar.
Characters don't necessarily need to be on your squad to count as companions. Those not chosen to accompany you on missions can support you from behind the scenes. Meaning there's more strategy to assembling a group than simply picking your fighters.
