Owlcat Games has published hotfix 1.4.1.217 for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader that addresses crashes, softlocks, and a variety of companion bugs.
The Rogue Trader hotfix 1.4.1.217 notes detail fixes to improve game stability, as well as questline and companion behavior fixes. A game-breaking lag issue with invisible companion familiars is also fixed, which was hurting performance in particular areas.
A crash in the Corrupted Cogitator fight at Kiava Gamma has also been eliminated, along with a softlock in Argenta’s questline in Commorragh, and a softlock in Jae’s personal questline.
Solomorne Bugs and Companion Fixes Addressed
Solomorne has been a source of multiple bugs for DLC owners, and this patch ensures he now:
- Returns properly to the party after Vheabos-VI
- Keeps his gear after key cutscenes
- Appears correctly in final dialogues
- No longer shows up for players without the related DLC
Other notable fixes include the removal of invisible character animations, corrected respec issues for shield-based builds, and a loading screen bug where the progress bar would freeze at 100%.
Console Players and Future Stability
Console players can expect the hotfix to arrive within 24 to 48 hours, as Owlcat is quick to push its updates across all platforms for consistency. Rogue Trader has received more content since its launch, with both missions and narrative DLC now in the game.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is now available for PC, macOS, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
