The creators of action RPG Vampyr, Dontnod Entertainment and the publisher of the game, Focus Home Interactive have officially announced another partnership for a new, ambitious project.
In the announcement, Dontnod CEO Oskar Guilbert said that the studio are excited to be "strengthening our successful relationship with Focus Home Interactive" and that their proven and effective marketing, experienced teams and the convergence of Dontnod's editorial visions make Focus Home "an ideal partner" for the new game.
Focus Home Interactive COO John Bert was also satisfied with the renewed collaboration. He said that Dontnod already demonstrated their talents to create "rich universes, enhanced by a masterful narrative and unique artistic direction".
Unfortunately, we did not get details about the new game. Both the publisher and the developer only said that their new game will probably be one of the most ambitious projects in the history of the companies.
We may don't have details about the new game, but Vampyr is mentioned a couple of times in the announcement. The French studio took the opportunity to confirm that the game sold more than one million copies to-date and that it's been a huge success.
Could this mean Vampyr 2 is on the way? At the moment, there is no solid info to suggest that but hopefully, more details will emerge in the upcoming months.
Of course, it's possible that the new game is a completely new IP or a sequel to some other titles from Dontnod's catalogue but this is just a wild guess.
Dontnod is currently busy with their upcoming episodic adventure Twin Mirror, which is arriving sometime in 2019 to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, so don't expect to get your hands on the freshly announced game anytime soon.

You can check the official announcement on the , and if you're yet to play Vampyr, it's currently available in catalogue.
