A recent datamine of Marvel Rivals has uncovered future alternate skins inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe and other sources. In early May, NetEase conducted a closed alpha test, allowing select players to experience the game and provide feedback for its full release.
Currently, Marvel Rivals boasts 18 playable characters, including well-known figures like Spider-Man and Doctor Strange, as well as lesser-known heroes like Luna Snow.
However, a recent data discovery by superhero game leaker Miller Ross suggests that future additions may include Captain America, The Fantastic Four, and even Venom, who featured prominently in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and is rumored to star in his own game set in the same universe.
What did the recent Marvel Rivals leaks reveal?
Ross further unearthed an intriguing leak regarding the latest Marvel Rivals update patch, revealing 37 hidden character skins. Of these, 32 are reportedly complete, while 5 are still in progress.
Among the skins are MCU-inspired alternate costumes, including Scarlet Witch and Zombie Strange from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Groot, Mantis, Star-Lord, and Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Iron Man and Spider-Man from Avengers: Endgame, and Namor from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

It's not particularly surprising to see alternate character skins inspired by the mainstream Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films in Marvel Rivals. Similar outfits have been integrated into other Marvel games like Marvel’s Avengers and the Marvel's Spider-Man series in the past.
