Treyarch officially revealed Call of Duty Black Ops 4's next operation dubbed Spectre Rising. As the name suggests, the new operation will add beloved Specialist Spectre, three new maps, including the fan-favourite WMD and new game modes.
After a full week of teases, Treyarch have finally revealed Call of Duty Black Ops 4's next operation, dubbed Spectre Rising. The update which introduces the new operation and all the content that comes with it, is scheduled to drop sometime on Tuesday - 30 April 2019. Traditionally, the new update will come to PlayStation 4 only while PC and Xbox One release will follow shortly, probably on Tuesday next week.
As the earlier leaks and rumours suggested, Operation Spectre Rising will add a new Multiplayer Specialist and Blackout character - Spectre, which appeared in Black Ops 3 and became one of the most popular characters instantly.
In the reveal trailer, Spectre is armed with his katana and is seen eliminating a group of enemies with quick leaps between them to deliver deadly blows. Spectre's special ability allows him to see the enemies trough special smoke grenades, for easier targeting and elimination.
The reveal trailer also shows gameplay for two brand new maps named Artifact and Masquerade along with a rework of the iconic Black Ops map - WMD. Judging by the trailer, it's a faithful recreation that should please the fans of the original one.
Along with these additions, Operation Spectre Rising will also bring huge changes to Call of Duty Black Ops 4's battle royale mode Blackout. Dubbed, Wetworks Map Update, the change will seemingly flood portions of the map after an explosion at Hydro Dam goes off, which is something that we also saw in earlier teasers by Treyarch.
Judging by the footage in the reveal trailer, Blackout will offer some intense battles on the Tactical Rafts. And last but not least, Treyarch and Activision also promise new weapons, challenging Zombies Gauntlets and more in Operation Spectre Rising. Full details of all these additions will be revealed tomorrow once the update officially drops.
