Treyarch have revealed the upcoming content for Call of Duty Black Ops 4 that is scheduled to drop in this week's update. After introducing Infected mode in the previous update, the devs decided to add a new weather variant to Arsenal map. Named simply Arsenal Sandstorm, the map features raging sandstorm that will reduce visibility and add even more close quarter combat action.
The devs confirmed that Arsenal Sandstorm will drop simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which is a bit surprising given that earlier content was usually exclusive to Sony's platform for one week. The map is coming today - 16 April 2019.
Another notable addition that is included in the update is a new multiplayer mode named Deathmatch Domination. Just like the name suggests, it's a hybrid of two already available game modes - Deathmatch and Domination. You'll have to earn points for your team by holding objectives and getting kills.
Unlike Arsenal Sandstorm, Deathmatch Domination will not arrive to all platforms on 16 April 2019. Instead, it will be available only on PlayStation 4 and then come to Xbox One and PC one week later.
However, while you wait for the new mode, you can fight the infection or join the horde in Infected mode that drops on PC and Xbox One today. Treyarch are yet to share full patch notes for the update so we don't know kind of weapon balancing and tweaks they've made but we'll have more on that after the update goes live.
In other Call of Duty Black Ops 4 news, Treyarch recently removed three maps from Infected playlist after an out of bounds exploit has been discovered on Arsenal, Frequency and Hacienda maps. You can read more on that .
