Creative Assembly and SEGA have officially announced the third instalment in Total War Warhammer series. The game is set to launch this year and it brings the Kislev faction, for the first time ever in a video game.
After several teasers, publisher SEGA and developer Creative Assembly today announced Total War: Warhammer III, the third release in the beloved series. The upcoming title is set to plunge players into a cataclysmic conflict between ruinous daemonic powers and the sentinels of the mortal world, SEGA reveal in the announcement.
"In Total War: WARHAMMER III each choice you make will shape the reality-shattering conflict to come; from the mysterious Lands of the East to the daemon-infested Realms of Chaos. Experience strategy gaming on a scale yet unseen in this epic culmination to the Total War: WARHAMMER trilogy."
Warhammer III will feature new races, including the video-game debut of Kislev and Cathay factions. Other factions that players can expect to see in the game include the factions of Chaos – Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh and Tzeentch. Creative Assembly promise a wide variety of heroes and monsters, on a never before seen scale.
"Players will wage war with the most diverse array of legendary heroes, gargantuan monsters, flying creatures and magical powers that the series has ever seen."
As for the campaigns, you will be tasked with saving or exploiting the power of a dying god. Each race offers a unique journey through the nightmarish Chaos Realm, culminating in an endgame that will determine the fate of the world.
Total War Warhammer III will be coming sometime in 2021 to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
