A screenshot of what appears to be the upcoming Total War: Warhammer 3 game has surfaced online, revealing an interesting new structure building mechanic.
A couple of months ago, Sega and Creative Assembly officially announced the third game in the popular Total War Warhammer series. Since then, not a lot has been said about the game, which is set to launch sometime in late 2021, if everything goes according to plan.
However, today we have what appears to be the first in-game screenshot of Total War Warhammer 3. The screenshot comes from the controversial message board 4chan , and it seemingly reveals a new gameplay mechanic/game mode.
As you can see in the image above, this certain mission has a quest that requires the building of defensive structures on the map in order to "Hold out against Khorne's Demons".
The UI at the top of the screenshot reveals that the mission is currently on "Wave 1", meaning that this could be a potential horde style mode but this is just speculation at the moment, as nothing is officially confirmed by the devs.
Total War Warhammer 3 is currently in development for PC. The game is coming to both Epic Games Store and Steam sometime later this year. For more details about the game, check out the official trailer above or visit the official Steam page.
