Creative Assembly have announced the arrival of the Norsca Race Pack. It is the latest DLC for Total War: Warhammer II. The Norsca Race Pack introduces two new factions, new quests and general gameplay adjustments common to the franchise.
We got word today from Creative Assembly that the barbaric Norscans will be the latest playable Race added to Total War: Warhammer. There is a slight catch of sorts: to get the Race Pack for free you have to order Total War: Warhammer II through a Sega approved retailer, plus you have to do so "before release or in the first week of sale".
Norscans' story is a short one and the press release tells it like this: "In the frozen Norsca peninsula far to the north, barbaric tribes serve the dark gods through hunting and pillaging. Hardened by relentless blizzards and the monstrous beasts of this bitter wilderness, the Norscans exist only to lay waste".
The Norsca Race DLC Pack will introduce two new, playable, factions, each with its own unique Legendary Lord. Players will be able to go on monster hunt quests, command units like War Mammoths and Skin Wolves, as well as construct places of worship in order to gain favour of the dark gods.
DLC's Steam page has more details about the Norscas, and a 10 percent discount that is good until 10 August.
The Norsca Race Pack will be playable in the first part of the trilogy from 10 August, ahead of Total War: Warhammer II’s release on 28 September.
A free update for both games is in store for everyone shortly after Total War: Warhammer II launches. The update will bring a new combined campaign map that will enable players to conquer both the Old World and the New as any Race from both base games and any owned DLC Races. After its release, this will be further updated to include Norsca.
