It's been long rumoured but today, it's finally official. THQ Nordic are working on Titan Quest 2, a sequel to the iconic action RPG Titan Quest from 2006.
The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S but there are still no details on the release date, which suggest we may have to wait a bit longer to play it.
In a preview event that we've attended THQ Nordic also shared additional details about the game. The publisher stated that Titan Quest 2 will feature single-player, co-op multiplayer and PvP online multiplayer, which is certainly exciting news.
The story is pretty much a return to the fantastical reimagining of ancient Greece. According to the official synopsis, players will have to stop Nemesis, the goddess of Retribution, who is out of control.
The devs also promise a flexible character system, meaning that you'll get to create your own hero and masteries combining is also back. Additionally, the team states that every loot you find will be important as even a common spear can be upgraded to a unique legendary weapon.
One thing that we find particularly interesting is the fact that enemies will be able to form factions and work together, combining their skills and abilities against the player.
Last but not least, THQ promised stunning visuals and vast world to explore. You can see a glimpse of that in the screenshots which we have uploaded in the gallery below.
Titan Quest 2 is available for wishlist now on Steam. More details about the game are expected soon. In the meantime, check out the trailer and first screenshots above.
