Ellen Ripley joins Dead by Daylight like an overall well put together survivor with perks that assist in chases, help with delaying the killer and staying in touch with her team.

Behaviour always hits the nail on the head when it comes to revealing new chapters. An anticipation-increasing teaser with a licensed killer and now a movie protagonist survivor.

The survivor in question is Ellen Ripley, the main character in the Alien movies. She comes to Dead by Daylight equipped with 3 unique perks that promise to bring exciting options for multiple styles of perk builds.

Ellen joins Jill Valentine as the second survivor to bring a perk that is a way of "fighting back" so let's get into it.

Perk Overview

Chemical Trap

Chemical Trap activates after you have repaired a generator for a total of 50% While standing next to a dropped pallet, the player must press the Active Ability button to install a rap. The trap stays 120 seconds. During this time the trapped pallete stays highlighted in yellow to all of the survivors. When the Killer breaks the Trapped Pallet by any means, the Trap explodes, slowing the Killer by -50 % for 4 seconds.

Light Footed

Whenever the survivor is healthy, Light-Footed activates and all sounds made while running are suppressed, it has a cooldown of 20 seconds after performing a Rush Vault action. The scratchmarks are unaffected by this perk.

Lucky Star

Lucky Star activates once the player gets into a locker. For the next 10 seconds, the survivor's grunts of pain are suppressed and pools of blood are hidden. Once the player exits the locker they can see the auras of teammates and the closest generator to the survivor for 10 seconds. Lucky Star has a cool-down of 30 seconds.

We at Altchar stand with the opinion that Light Footed and Chemical Trap will be highly used and might even get a spot in the Dead by Daylight survivor meta.

Light Footed seems like a very strong counter to the Spirit's power due to her heavily relying on hearing survivor footsteps while Chemical Trap is an allaround useful perk for delaying the killer and making strong pallets even stronger.
