Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is set to release on August 17, 2023, and two weeks before the big date, the Mimimi Games announced a set of changes that will make it into the final build, based on the players' feedback.
In case you missed it, the game's demo was available for a limited time which is where the feedback came from.
Additionally, the demo will become available after launch as well, if you would like to give it a whirl.
The biggest and possibly the most welcome change is the one regarding the quick save reminders. It is a charming way of making quick saves lore-friendly but sometimes the effects are too much and the devs will give players options to:
- Use the same visual effect with less intensity
- Use an alternate visual effect akin to the one in Desperados 3
- Turn it off altogether
Another QoL update will be the ability to interact with objects and environments by holding the left click or just pressing Ctrl + left click, whichever fits the players' playstyle better.
Camera controls will become properly available for keybinding, allowing WASD keys to pan it, which was not possible in the demo. As for the gamepad players, the camera UI and the locked state will both be improved for the final game.
All of these ideas came through the Steam community and Mimimi's Discord so if you would like to see some changes implemented, check those social hubs and let your ideas shine.
