THQ Nordic will not be showing any of their content on E3 2018 and will instead be enjoying FIFA World Cup which kicks off on 14 June 2018. Fans who had been hoping for more Darksiders 3 footage won't be seeing any before PAX West 2018.
THQ Nordic have announced "with great regret" that they will be "unable to miss a single moment of this great sporting event", referring to FIFA World Cup 2018. They continued the statement by saying that they will be "forced" to stay in "Viennese beer gardens". My condolences are with THQ Nordic, it will be a terrible test of strength and will, as they are forced to sip cold beer in front of LED screens during the warm summer days.
They have noted that football will not be the only event in their repertoire, as THQ Nordic will also watch select press conferences from E3 via Twitch, with a special nod to Devolver Digital. One of THQ Nordic's regrets will be missing a pint of beer in "Ye Olde King's Head" pub in Santa Monica at 9AM but since the World Cup will be held in Russia, this would mean terrible time zone complications.
They would be forced to drink beer at 7AM due to the time zone difference and timing of the first match each day. We forgive you THQ Nordic, for your sacrifice is great and having to cool yourselves down with great amounts of beer is hard enough already. Apparently 7AM beer is too early even for Austrians, and even more so for Swedes.
THQ Nordic's press release regarding the unattendance on E3 is capped off with an announcement that their upcoming releases such as Darksiders 3, Biomutant, Fade to Silence and Wreckfest will be shown at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany which will be held from 21 to 25 August 2018 and PAX West in Seattle, USA, which will happen a week later.
This is not all however, as THQ Nordic have also promised they will be showing some of their yet unannounced titles for the first time during these two events.
