The Division 2 has had issues with bugs that prevented the enjoyment of a mission and the Global Event Challenges in certain scenarios. With the May 26 maintenance, these have been fixed.
Massive Entertainment kicked off The Division 2 maintenance on May 26, 2020 at 9:30 AM CEST / 3:30 AM EDT / 12:30 AM PDT and it has concluded slightly before this article was published. The good news are two-fold but both pertain to fixes of bugs that wouldn't let players enjoy the game properly.
Namely, they have had trouble with earning Global Event Challenge progress from their allies. This did not affect all challenges but was still a persistent problem that could render playtime useless. The issue has been resolved and players can now group up to take on the challenges without having to worry about wasting time for no progress.
On the less challenging side of things, agents encountered a problem with the doors in DARPA Research Lab mission. Players would get to the step where the objective would become "Break Through the Black Tusk Forces" and would have to go through a previously locked door. The issue here is that the door would remain closed and they wouldn't open.
DARPA Labs is not exactly on the popular side of missions in The Division 2 but it can still hold desired gear, depending on the daily targeted loot.
Fixing these problems is definitely a step forward for enjoying The Division 2 but the game still has many problems and Massive Entertainment have their work cut out for them.
Keep in mind that Covid-19 still has people working remotely and it's unrealistic to expect the devs' workflow to be the same as when they are working from the office, it wouldn't hurt to cut the Massive folks some slack.
