Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft revealed the patch notes, maintenance time and other details regarding Title Update 11 in The Division 2. The Summit activity takes the highlight in this one.
The Summit is The Division 2's equivalent of Underground from the original game but there will be some differences. Players will be tasked with clearing a 100-story skyscraper from hostiles. As agents move higher, the difficulty will increase but they will be able to catch a breath at rally points which will serve as checkpoints.
Each time an agent is going through floors, the interior will be randomised just like the enemy spawns so the game should offer plenty of replayability in theory. The gameplay loop is kind of the same but there are the directives to shake things up a bit. These are the modifiers that will be applied mostly to players but some will benefit them in combat so the rules will be shifting each time a new one pops up.
Furthermore, there should be more variety in the objectives on each floor as a result of the PTS feedback. The frequency of reappearance of some objectives has been toned down so players should be seeing fewer Drone Ambushes.
Legendary floors will feature encounters with rogue agents so be ready to be popped in one shot by bullet sponges from time to time. However, Crew Ambush will no longer be a thing on these floors.
There is also plenty of new gear, such as the exotic MPX that sounds rather interesting with the perk that stacks critical hit damage but is a double-edged sword when reloading.
Maintenance for the update will occur on September 22, 2020, at 00:30 PDT / 07:30 GMT.
