Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment announced that The Division 2 is getting another free weekend which is kicking off in just a few days, sales to follow.
Free weekends are a fairly frequent occurrence in Ubisoft games and it's The Division 2's turn this time around. The free weekend will kick off on Thursday, September 24, 2020, and the exact time of the free access will vary depending on one's geographic location and platform.
PC players will be able to access the free weekend from either uPlay or Epic Games Store. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can access the free weekend from The Division 2's store page on their respective platforms. Keep in mind that Xbox Live Gold membership is necessary for Microsoft's console.
According to the official FAQ , all the content from the full version of the game will be available. This includes the Warlords of New York expansion. However, many hours need to be sunk into The Division 2 to reach the endgame so you probably won't scratch it by the time the promotion expires on September 27, 2020.
If the game becomes appealing enough to you to buy it, you might want to take the opportunity to get The Division 2 while it's on sale that will accompany the free weekend where the website claims players can save up to 85 per cent .
If you played during a free weekend previously, your progress will carry over into this one. Similarly, if you purchase the game, all the progress will carry over into the full version.
