We reached out to Konami about Silent Hill: Townfall's platform availability and received confirmation that it is coming exclusively to PlayStation consoles and PC via Steam and Epic Games store.
Silent Hill 2 Remake was also exclusively released for PS5 and PC in October 2024 (with an Xbox release finally coming a year later), so maybe that's what will happen with this one too.
Silent Hill: Townfall is currently under development by Screen Burn Interactive, who was previously known under the name No Code. The game is co-published by Konami and Annapurna Interactive. Silent Hill: Townfall is scheduled for release globally sometime in late 2026.
Story and Gameplay
Silent Hill Townfall had its gameplay reveal at Sony’s State of Play on February 12th. This gave players their first look into the game’s tone, gameplay, and story. Townfall looks to focus less on combat and more on building tension and horror.
Silent Hill: Townfall places you in the shoes of Simon Ordell. He has returned to the misty island of St. Amelia in order to “set things right.” He finds himself waking up with nothing but an IV bag in his arm and a medical wristband.
Townfall is a first-person shooter game. Although Simon can wield melee weapons like planks and pipes to protect himself, he can also sneak past enemies undetected. He carries a CRTV (see-through retina Visor) handheld device which allows him to track the positions of nearby enemies.
This is a game that encourages you to piece the story together by exploring your eerie surroundings and solving environmental puzzles.
