Just a couple of days after Ubisoft released the trailer for their new game, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, a post on reddit may have already revealed the game's exact release date.
Assassin's Creed has always been one of the most popular video game franchises of the gaming industry, from their first game back in 2007 to Odyssey in 2018. Last month, it was revealed that a new game will join this mammoth franchise - Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
After they released the game's trailer, many fans were asking the same question - when will they get to play this gorgeous-looking game. Thankfully enough, we may have got some information about the game's release date thanks to a thread on reddit .
The redditor claims that a local store in his area may have leaked the exact date for the game's release. Allegedly, after the game was put up for pre-order, the release date read: October 16, 2020. A couple of hours later, the description was changed to "coming 2020".
He continues by saying that he took some pictures of the store before the description got taken down and this was later confirmed by the subreddit's moderator who stated that he was indeed provided with all the necessary evidence for the aforementioned claim.
Further on, he adds that it may have simply been a placeholder but considering that the last three Assassin's Creed games all came out on a Friday in the month of October, this release date may well end up being correct.
The comment section is backing this rumour up, saying that considering all the things mentioned above, the date shouldn't be far off. However, there are also users who are wondering why Ubisoft would choose that exact date since it's only a month after Cyberpunk 2077's scheduled release.
Given that this is only an unconfirmed rumour, it should of course be taken with a grain of salt. It's also worth noting that there is a chance that the upcoming Xbox event may reveal some official information regarding this matter.
