Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is still on track to launch in Autumn 2025, said Take-Two Interactive in their latest earnings report. It seems like the development is going quite well and has not hit any obstacles, at least not any major ones that would require a delay.
GTA 6 is set to launch sometime between September and November 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar mentioned the release window two times in their earnings report, which suggests they are quite confident of the date and don't expect any delays.
If GTA 6 launches without a delay, that would certainly be a major surprise since previous Rockstar titles like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 5 were both delayed several times before eventual launch.
And given the massive scope of GTA 6, which will eclipse even the mammoth Red Dead Redemption 2 in terms of content and world size, it's really hard to imagine that there won't be any delays.
Polishing such a massive game with so many mechanics, NPCs and objects on the map is surely a nightmare but if anyone can pull it off, it's the industry's greatest studio.
