Riot Games is celebrating Arcane Season 2 with the addition of five new Champion Quests, which have been added to League of Legends. These are limited-time event quests that will be available on the new ARAM map "The Bridge of Progress."
Each one focuses on rivalries from Arcane, each with different gameplay mechanics that will be super fun. However, these are going to be available for a short period of time only as they'll be removed when the new ARAM map retires.
Champion quests have always played a major role in developing the League of Legends experience by bringing lore-driven rivalries to life. Take, for example, the famous quest between Kha'Zix and Rengar: there they are, bitter enemies; whoever among them manages to take down the other at level 16 will receive a sudden power boost from it.
Here is a small overview of the new quests:
Caught in the Crossfire (Jinx vs. Caitlyn)
- Jinx's Quest: Kill Caitlyn to trigger an explosion that drops a monkey bomb from slain enemies, dealing physical damage.
- Caitlyn's Quest: Kill Jinx, and enemies drop a Yordle Snap Trap, helping Caitlyn catch her prey.
The Lost Hextech Dream (Viktor vs. Jayce)
- Viktor's Quest: Kill Jayce, allowing your team's ultimates to strike additional lightning bolts at nearby enemies.
- Jayce's Quest: Kill Viktor to create a Static Field around your team members when they cast their ultimates.
Warwick vs. Vi
- Vi's Quest: Defeat Warwick to gain bonus speed and extra damage toward low-health enemies.
- Warwick's Quest: Beat Vi and unlock enhanced damage with every third attack, shredding enemy armor and magic resistance.
Singed vs. Heimerdinger
- Heimerdinger's Quest: Kill Singed to slowly generate a shield when near a turret.
- Singed's Quest: Kill Heimerdinger (reward details to be announced).
Jinx vs. Ekko
- Jinx's Quest: Kill Ekko to reduce ultimate ability cooldowns for her team.
- Ekko's Quest: Kill Jinx and gain ultimate ability haste for his allies.
These quests add a layer of strategy and fun to League of Legends that will only stick around for a limited time, so be sure to try them out before they're gone!
