Riot Games is changing the way bounties are calculated in League of Legends to prevent snowballing. The bonus for killing a champion and farm stats will be replaced by the team's gold difference.

Patch 14.21 is going to revolutionize League of Legends' bounty system. Riot Games will be tuning the way bounties are calculated as a means of preventing snowballing.

Currently, the bonus for killing a champion and farm stats are the most influencing factors in the bounty reward; the updated system will, however, shift to teams gold difference.

If your team is behind in gold and you are the only one fed, your bounty will be lower, fairer to the opponents, and less likely that opponents capitalise on just that one player's performance. These changes look to create more even and competitive games.

Besides gameplay updates, the patch brings a set of new cosmetics under the Dark Star theme. Champions like Sylas, Kai'Sa, and Yorick will be joining this set of cosmic skins, while Diana has received a Prestige Edition skin.

This skin line gives these champions that extra layer of visual oomph to make them even more ominous on the Rift.

For example, for those who collect all 24 items within the event, the Dark Cosmic Diana Prestige Edition will be unlocked, a skin addition that offers exclusivity to that which has been offered in this patch.

Whether it's casual gameplay tweaks or cosmetic additions, Patch 14.21 has something exciting for casual and competitive League of Legends players alike.
