Red Dead Redemption Remake is one of those games that seem to pop up every now and then, even though, there is zero proof that they actually even exist in any form. The same goes for Bloodborne Remaster and other elusive titles.
However, it does look like we finally have some solid evidence that Rockstar could be working on a remaster or remake of their action-adventure Red Dead Redemption.
The game was officially rated in Korea a couple of days ago, which usually means some kind of re-release is happening. Now, this doesn't have to mean that we're getting a version with better graphics and new features as it's possible that Rockstar are porting to game to Nintendo Switch or natively to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Additionally, Sacred Symbols podcast host Colin Moriarty has recently claimed that according to information he received, Red Dead Redemption remaster/remake is real and could even be announced as soon as next month and released soon after that.
While this is certainly exciting news to all Rockstar fans, we suggest you take everything with a grain of salt, until we get an official announcement from the publisher.
With the recent rating and rumours, it's possible that the remaster is real, especially since Rockstar have been open to remastering games earlier, namely the not-so-great GTA Trilogy Remastered. We only hope that Red Dead Redemption is not getting a similar makeover.
A couple of years ago, we got the first rumours about the Red Dead Redemption Remake, which claimed that the game would be using the engine of Red Dead Redemption 2 with features like ray-tracing, fidelity mode and performance mode on consoles and more. The release date was apparently set for Spring 2022 but it's obvious now that the rumour was either fake or the remake got a significant delay.
