The next Rainbow Six Siege Major is going to take place and that is when the last season of year 8 will get revealed. So far, the name for the season is unknown and everything that is mentioned in this article has not been confirmed by Ubisoft but rather is based on conclusions made by the community.
Firstly, the Rainbow Six Siege story in question is the Opeartion Heavy Mettle one and if Ubisoft is following the pattern it has been following for the past 2 years, then the reveal of the next operator is in this story.
For those who have watched the cinematic for Heavy Mettle, the attack on Ram and Vigil that took place on Tower is a familiar scene. The comic shows us what happens after the two escape.
In the comic, Mira, Solis, Rook are testing out a replica of the enemy weapons on Rook's armour plates. These bullets have penetrated both the plates and the test dummy, leaving everyone astonished.
This leads everyone to think that this is the team testing out possible solutions which will become the new operators unique gadget. Now given that Ram was an attacker, there is a high possibility that the next operator will be a defender and their unique gadget could either be very similar to Rook's or some sort of ammo buff to their team.
Lastly, there is a high chance that this operator will be part of Wolfguard Squad given the nature of their gadget but we are yet to find out all of the details with the upcoming Major.
