PUBG Corp. have revealed that a new update for PUBG Mobile will arrive on 11 December 2019, bringing two new game modes, new winter-themed items and more.
Cold winds and snowy vistas are coming to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile, the developer PUBG Corp. have announced. Named Winter Festival, the brand new update is scheduled to go live on 11 December 2019.
The update 0.16.0 will take approximately 0.6 GB of storage on your smartphone or PC if you're one of those who play the game with mouse and keyboard. Luckily, there won't be any downtime so players can jump straight into the new content.
Speaking about the new content, the update brings two new game modes and winter-themed items. The new game modes that will be joining the game are Rage Gear TDM and Rage Gear Pickup. These are twelve player modes (six vs six) and will be focused on vehicles like previously rumoured. Players will get to choose from three vehicles that have infinite ammo for a proper carnage.
There's also a brand new version of Erangel map but unfortunately, this one will not arrive with the 0.16.0 update. The team are still working on it and it should arrive in future updates - as soon as the devs wrap up the working on it.
Of course, the new update will bring new tweaks and bug fixes but PUBG Corp. are yet to reveal these. It looks like we'll have to wait for the full patch notes, which should arrive along with the new update on Wednesday.
