New weapons, a new feature, and some chickens have been added to PUBG on PC. Update 14.2 will be live on consoles come next week.
PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS' update 14.2 is now live on PC. Console people can expect the new batch of stuff to drop as soon as next week (the devs are thinking November 11). The new update will give players a chance to test out a couple of new weapons including the brand-new M79 piece of hardware which slings enemy-blinding smoke grenades, on top of the Taego-exclusive Mortar. The new animals on Taego can snitch about your position to the enemies so cross the road if you see the little cluckers.

A full rundown of Update 14.2
The first new Weapon - M79 Smoke Grenade Launcher: The new M79 is a smoke grenade launcher that was created to provide quick smoke cover on longer ranges. Players can blind their enemies, cover downed teammates or make grand escapes from a losing battle.
New Weapon - Mortar: The new Taego-exclusive weapon is easy to use but hard to get right. Players will have to calculate the distance to the target and the expected movement path.
New Feature - Down But Now Out (DBNO) Swimming: Improving the survivability in water, one stroke at a time. Players everywhere don't have to fear water anymore. Instead, they can take advantage of Swimming DBNO, a slowed-down version of the real thing that still gives some hope of survival.
