Despite Nintendo putting a stop to the production of Pokémon Prism, the game has been given a second chance at life by avid fans of the hit franchise. The original game had been in development for eight years before Nintendo decided to pull the plug on the whole project. However, thanks to a leaked copy of the game's last-updated version, it managed to find its way to the internet again.
After Adam "Koolboyman" Vierra, the developer of the game, announced that he would take down everything related to Pokémon Prism. Within a short time, an anonymous group of fans decided to do something about the cancellation of their beloved game. Pokémon Prism is a fully playable ROM hack for Pokémon Crystal. In the game, players can choose between taking on a role of the son or daughter of Lance, the Champion of the Elite Four from Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. New types of Pokémon are introduced as well - Abnormal, Sound and Gas.
