New Lies of P gameplay mostly focuses on combat but we also get to see some weapon upgrading and exploration.
Today, we have raw 4K gameplay of one of the most anticipated action RPGs of 2023 - Lies of P . Courtesy of Gamespot, the new gameplay video is around 11 minutes long and as you've probably guessed by now, it's all about combat in those dark Victorian streets.
The video also gives us a glimpse at weapon upgrades and character levelling. Basically, you'll spend the experience points you earn in combat on improving your weapons and levelling up your character. It's pretty much identical to how this stuff works in games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne .
We have to say that the combat looks pretty tight now after some shaky earlier reveals. Of course, Neowiz used the extra time to polish and optimise the experience so it's not really surprising that the game feels much better than before.
One thing that still looks the same is the visual presentation. The art style is pretty clean and a far cry from Bloodborne for example, which goes for a lot more detail on streets and enemies.
It does feel like Lies of P looks a bit downgraded when compared to those initial trailers, which really blew everyone away but let's wait for the final release to judge the looks.
