P.O.N. is a co-op stealth horror game going viral on social media for one reason - completing your heist is only half the problem when something very familiar is hunting you through the darkness.

A tiny two-person indie team called Devci & Mars are developing one of the most talked-about games on social media right now. P.O.N. is a first-person co-op stealth horror game where players complete heists for a criminal syndicate - whilst being hunted by what can only be described as a certain Dark Knight.

The premise flips the superhero power fantasy entirely. Rather than playing the hero, you're the criminal, coordinating with up to three other players online to pull off jobs whilst staying one step ahead of an AI-controlled predator described by the developers as "unpredictable and brutal." The tension comes from never knowing when or where it will strike. Kinda like the xenomorph in Alien Isolation and god knows that was bloody terrifying.

The game's Steam page carefully avoids any mention of Batman, which makes complete sense given the developers don't own the licence. The mysterious hunter goes unnamed, and the game describes it only as a "super AI." But one look at the silhouette lurking in the darkness makes the inspiration unmistakably clear, and social media has gleefully filled in the blanks.

The project started in July 2025, and has generated remarkable buzz recently for such a small production, which just goes to show that good ideas are more important than super fancy studios and hundreds of developers.

Devci & Mars describe themselves as passionate horror and co-op game fans who have "poured their souls" into the project. I really hope P.O.N. is a massive success for the duo. If you want to help, wishlist the game for visibility.

P.O.N. is targeting a Q1 2026 release on PC via Steam, with console versions potentially considered post-launch. It supports up to four players in online co-op.
