Blizzard announced some interesting news regarding Overwatch 2 but as per usual, most of the cool stuff will be revealed during OWL finals.
Blizzard is gearing up to show fans more of Overwatch 2 and it will happen at the crescendo of Overwatch League. Besides the esports event culmination, fans will be able to see a bit more of the sort of sequel to the 2016 shooter.
The developers will apparently show off Sombra and Bastion's reworks, which should be of interest to pretty much every OW player - these changes will apply to PvP, and as such, to the original Overwatch as well as OW2. Bastion will also get a bit of a visual rework so the robot's new look will also be displayed during the show.
On top of the significant changes to the two heroes, Blizzard will host an exhibition match in Overwatch 2, offering another glimpse into the future of the competitive shooter.
They already announced OWL will resume in April 2022 on an early build of Overwatch 2 so this showmatch may serve as some sort of precursor to professional matches in the next year.
