In spite of the disastrous response to the so-called Fortnite event in Norwich, Exciting Events, organisers of the event, were still planning to hold similar ones in Spalding and Newark. Unfortunately, it looks like they're out of business.
Head of Exciting Events Limited Shaun Lord has sent an email to customers, where he explained that even though "the vast majority of children" really loved the show, they are forced to shut down their operations with immediate effect.
Exciting Events were, in fact, "still committed to hosting the two future Fortnite Live events", before Epic Games "forced the shut down of the two pre-booked Fortnite Live events, with the immediate removal of all promotional communication from the public domain."
Fortnite Live Norwich has sold 2,500 tickets, with the lowest one going for £12. Unlimited access required a bracelet that upped the price to as much as £32.

Epic Games quickly issued a statement saying, "Epic Games was not in any way associated with the event that took place in Norwich and we've issued a claim against the organisers in the High Court of London."
Exciting Events' email says that the proceedings by Epic have had a "catastrophic impact on the company's ability to trade, which has forced Exciting Events Limited to cease all trading activities immediately and the director of Exciting Events will now seek to limit the losses to third parties as far as possible."
According to the email, the company will be selling assets and distributing the funds among creditors. Note that the list includes refunds to customers.
