Blizzard announced the dates for the next Overwatch 2 beta as well as the start of signups, which will be mandatory.
Overwatch 2 is still quite a bit away, with the release date set for October 4, 2022, leaving us with almost four months of wait. However, the next beta test is closer so you might want to hop in if you want a taste or to actually test and help with feedback.
In any case, the next beta is starting on June 28, 2022, which is under two weeks from the moment of publishing this article and you reading it. Keep in mind that if you want to participate, you will have to sign up for it and the signups open on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
This applies to those who previously had beta access as well so make sure you do another signup - your previous access does not grant you future access nor any privileges.
In case you are wondering if there will be anything new in the beta, it will include a map that wasn't previously available as well as a new hero, the recently shown Junker Queen. She is a tank but doesn't appear to have a permanent barrier along the lines of Reinhardt, for example, so expect aggressive plays, especially before people get used to her.
The beta will be available on both PC and console and there is currently no indication on whether you will have to watch Twitch streams to get drops, should the signup fail to do the trick.
