Devolver Digital and DeadToast Entertainment have released a new trailer for My Friend Pedro, dubbed Release Date Hype Train that reminded us the shoot-em-up-artistically is coming on 20 June 2019. The trailer literally features a train.
My Friend Pedro will let players unleash their kill creativity in just under two weeks from the time of writing. Devolver Digital released another bit of marketing material in the form of trailer you can witness above.
While entertaining, it does not really rub us the same way the Bananas trailer did though. More importantly, it announced the shooting fest will feature more intricate levels like the one on the train.
For those unacquainted with the title, it focuses on a man that is convinced a banana named Pedro tells him to kill various goons. The gameplay takes the form of gun ballet where the player performs various breakneck stunts and pirouettes while gunning down their enemies.
It is highly reminiscent of action seen in Desperado and Once Upon a Time in Mexico so if you ever dreamed of an action game that would let you fulfil the fantasy of being El Mariachi himself, My Friend Pedro is the place to go. The game puts heavy emphasis on gun fantasy physics, demonstrated in the character's wall running, skull kicking and pan shooting seen throughout the trailers. In essence, if you see something in a level, it can likely help you commit creative mass murder.
Standing at $19.99 / €16.79 / £15.49, this creative shooter fest will let players enjoy the murder sequences to the fullest through slow motion. It even has a built-in .gif capture tool that will let players share their creative kills online.
You can pick up My Friend Pedro with a 15 per cent discount on until 20 June 2019 when it will officially release. We would still advise caution and a bit of patience need to wait it out before reviews pop up.
Alternatively, if you don't like the sidescrolling action of My Friend Pedro, you can check out a relic from 2005 that never reached high fame for some reason, named Total Overdose.
